English:
Positioned between sculpture and voice, 'La Cura'/'The Cure' draws attention to the ecological crisis and climate warming currently affecting planet Earth. Inspired by Franco Battiato’s song of the same name, the title becomes an invitation to respond to these crises with awareness, care, and a renewed sense of human responsibility.
The work gestures toward the sacred, not as dogma, but as an understanding of the profound interrelation of all living beings.

TEXT / VOICE by Silvia Battista
When the Earth becomes ill, balance is lost. From the smallest to the greatest forms of life, we drift away from the centres of lasting connection.
If we recognised the Earth as sacred—worthy of the same reverence we grant our churches and prayers—we would not permit ourselves to trample it or contaminate it.
If we understood the Earth as sacred as our temples, we would contribute to the paradise it already is.
We are an integral part of this magnificent organism. Our bodies are woven into the destinies of the many lives this planet hosts and sustains.
There is sacredness in the soil, fertile and generous, that allows the seed to emerge. There is sacredness in every plant that bears flowers and fruit. There is sacredness in this ancient intelligence that humbles human arrogance.
Let us share the breath that binds us to the rhythms of wise plants.
Let us learn to listen to their movements, invisible to our eyes.
Let us enter the flow of reciprocity and its gift: when we receive, we give; when we give, we receive.
