This work emerges from an ongoing reflection on Duchamp’s ready mades and their ability to renegotiate the relationship between ordinary objects and works of art. The drilling boards are objects used to protect more precious material like other types of wood used for expensive furnitures made in workshops. These ordinary objects are not intentionally but randomly manufactured and eventually recognised and chosen by the artist.
