​ The collective of Material Matters are currently writing the manifesto and its concept around an ism that they would like to call: 

​Emotional Minimalism - A series of minimal actions translated into performances, exhibitions, film and sound installations, exploring the affective relationships between: Materials, Objects, Humans and non-humans entities in different spaces and condition that will trigger different emotions. A concept that will enable the artists to create meaning from materials and from the places and spaces we inhabit.

​The focus of the collective is: the creative process from where new experiments can be created and dedicated on how to enter in dialogue with matter of any kind and create different dynamics. By breathing new life into new and old objects, raw materials we will develop new forms of practices, both collectively and individually.

The main question that will emerge from this process is whether this new relation with different materials and spaces could be experienced as an activating and affecting event in space and if the process is capable to change our subjective perception as artists and performers and in turn affect the perception of the spectator.
