Title: “Sculpted instructions of how to make an aeroplane” (2015) Materials: A4 Aluminium sheet, acrylic paint. Images: 6 A1 print on paper
The work shows different stages of making an aeroplane using paper. It is an attempt to capture and consolidate in time the memory of gestures which belong to childhood. It is also a commentary on flying. In this case the artist argues that the possibility to fly is given by the courage of letting go and using a material that is ephemeral in its nature. Therefore, the two practices of preserving and letting go are reciprocally exclusive.
